Here is the POOL REPORT from the First Lady’s event today.

The first lady received the Pfizer vaccine from nurse Christine Elleston shortly before 4:00 on Tuesday at Kings County Hospital in East Flatbush.

The first lady received her shot alongside Jean Alexander of the New York Caribbean Center and Jeanette Rivera of St. Mark’s Methodist Church.

First Lady McCray’s remarks following shot:

“We’re so glad to be here today at King’s County Hospital  Center, and I want to thank everyone, the doctors, the nurses…it was so easy, Kings County Hospital staff were so warm and welcoming, and made it so easy. for us to do this, fill out our application, get our card and our follow up appointment, and here we are, and it was just a pinch, all of us said the same thing, we barely felt it, so there really is nothing to be afraid of.

We want to do this for our families, we want to do this for our loved ones, and of course, we want to do it for our city, this is the only way we’re going to come back if everyone who’s eligible gets vaccinated. If you want to find out if you’re eligible all you have to do is call 877-Vax-4NYC. Call that number, find out if you’re eligible, and sign up. It’s a shot of love. Thank you.”
